Habitat ReStore
Habitat ReStore is a discount home improvement outlet store that sells new and gently used materials, accessories and other building supplies that have been donated by businesses, builders and individuals. It is open to the public. Merchandise is discounted 25% to 75% off standard retail prices.
The ReStore is a joint operation of the three Habitat affiliates in the Portland / Vancouver area. All proceeds raised at the ReStore are used to build affordable homes for low-income families locally.
The ReStore supports Habitat for Humanity’s mission to create homeownership opportunities for families in need through the recycling of building materials. The ReStore does this by:
- Providing a source of funding for the construction of Habitat homes.
- Serving as a financial partner in construction of Habitat homes.
- Providing low-cost materials for neighborhood revitalization.
Ways to Get Involved with Habitat ReStore
Donate: Donated materials must be screened and approved prior to drop-off. Not all items are useful to our program; unwanted items can create dump fees and divert funds from important Habitat projects in our community. Please call the Habitat ReStore before dropping off your donation.
Please check pdxrestore.org for items they can and cannot accept.
Buy: Our inventory items change frequently. Whether you're remodeling, a contractor, or looking for deals, we have what you're looking for at great prices. And, you'll help build more homes in our communities!
Volunteer: In true Habitat spirit, the ReStore relies on the power of community volunteers to be successful. This is a great way for people who can't help during our regular construction days or who would prefer a non-construction opportunity to help.
