Build a Home Frame a Future Breakfast/Lunch 2011
Tuesday, May 17, 2011 has been set aside for the 4th annual Build a Home Frame a Future fundraising event, benefiting Willamette West Habitat for Humanity.
Notice we say fundraising “event” and not fundraising “breakfast”. That’s because in 2010 our friends and supporters filled the largest venue in Washington County (the Embassy Suites Hotel ballrooms) and in order to make room for you to share our mission with your friends and help us grow the event, we had to find a way to expand.
That’s right, if you’re not a morning person, come to the lunch; if you love to greet the sunrise, we’ll see you at breakfast – it’s your choice.
It doesn’t matter which meal you come to, you’ll still hear the same stirring tales of hardworking families struggling to improve their lives and get their families out of substandard housing. This year we are featuring JD Spyker and his family. JD’s story about how far he’s come since becoming a Habitat homeowner is truly inspiring and goes to show exactly what your donation that morning can do to help someone right here in Washington County this year.
As the economy continues to struggle, our work becomes even more important. Look into your heart, and at your circle of friends, and think about becoming a Table Host this year. Instead of sitting at someone else’s table, invite your family, friends and co-workers and have your own table. Share with them the Habitat message of simple, decent and affordable homes for all.
We hope to see you there.
